George et al, we've accumulated a good number of SIGSEGV's, some of which look similar so I think there might be a crasher bug somewhere in 2.2.4 In all of the crash related reports in Ubuntu, there are apport retraced threaded stackdumps that should be very helpful, as well as relevant info about the user's computer config. If I were more experienced with the codebase, I'd dig in and help sift through the stacktraces myself. |

First of all, any backtrace with dbus in it, should be fixed in 2.2.5 and for translations I think it is best to go to bugs.kde.org
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... +bug/78188 : gnome issue, KT uses some standard KDE thing for system tray icons. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... +bug/86585 : I can reproduce this, will fix ASAP https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/101999 : gnome problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/114352 : size bug will check this out https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/162718 : zeroconf, should be fixed in 2.2.5 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... +bug/81568 : The first backtrace has probably long been fixed, the second is a dante (socks library) problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/114987 : That part of the networking code it crashes in, has been totally rewritten, so it should be fixed https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/115674 : This should be fixed in any recent version (not sure exactly which one, but 2.2.4 should have it) https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/117092 : These warnings can be safely ignored https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/117093 : Long been fixed in 2.2 series https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/119733 : This can be closed in the 3.0 series, torrents are always sorted by priority in the new QM gui. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/121679 : 2.0 series, prehistoric version, whatever it was, it is fixed https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/123471 : This should be fixed in 2.2.5 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/139506 : Don't know, tell him to try a later version https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/144565 : Ask which version he is using, weird bug though https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/152787 : Fixed in 2.2.5 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/164678 : Ask version, we need to find a way to reproduce this https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/172343 : Can confirm problem, will fix ASAP https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/175494 : I know this one, but we were not able to reproduce it back then, still don't understand how this can happen https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/176509 : Looks like a screwed up desktop file, maybe something gone wrong when it was packaged ? https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/177278 : Shouldn't happen with any recent version, seeing that it will stop when diskspace is running very low, maybe ask for version to be sure it is an old problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/181396 : I'm not certain, but this should be fixed in 2.2.5, can we ask him to try that version ? https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/182139 : This is fixed in 2.2.5 That's the whole list. Say wouldn't it be better that these bugs are posted on bugs.kde.org ? One bug tracking system is more then enough for me. |
