Both KT 2.2.5 and 3.0rc1 have been released. 2.2.5 is the next bugfix release for the 2.2 series, it contains all the bugfixes done in the last month since the 2.2.4 release.

3.0rc1 is the next step on the way to the final 3.0 release, it should be a lot better and more stable then the beta release. And it should be ready for day to day use.

Alright, I'll personally handle 2.2.5 packages in Ubuntu and I've got a mentee handling the 3.x series

Both are packaged and in Ubuntu Hardy, I'd like to sit and wait a bit for potential problem reports before backporting 2.2.x to Gutsy and I'll backport 3.0~rc1 to gutsy relatively soon.

3.0~rc1 packages, targeted for Debian experimental, are available by adding
deb http://alioth.debian.org/~modax-guest/ktorrent/ ./
to /etc/apt/sources.list or creating a new file with the contents above in /etc/apt/sources.list.d

It will take up to one or two weeks for 3.0~rc1.dfsg.1-1 to appear in Debian experimetal due to new binary packages (libbtcore*).

George, please consider the patches available below for ktorrent trunk:

Port of use system geoip and ability to disable built-in flags to CMake - you've already applied my respective patch for automake in late 2.2.0 release cycle. Both new settings are disabled by default therefore the patch should not affect build process of ktorrent unless variables are explicitly specified.

kclosestnodessearch_cleanup - removes unused variable and replaces while with for which is more logical here

2.2.5 will be uploaded to Debian unstable soon.

Another small bugfix for ktorrent 3.0rc1:

pastedialog_support_remote_urls.diff - add back support for remote urls in "Paste Torrent URL" dialog. The patch fixes incorrect KUrl API usage.

Gutsy and Feisty packages for 2.2.5 have just been accepted by the archive system, so from here out to the mirrors is a completely automated process

And another small bugfix for infowidget "Files" view:

infowidget_localizednumber.diff - show localized number instead of "1e+02 %" in infowidget "Files" view "% Complete" column. Based on ktorrent/viewmodel.cpp respective column.

The first patch is committed, the second patch is not necessary (it was already changed in a while loop when I fixed another bug)
