Note that we already have a default path when there is a default save location selected.

I use 3 target dirs frequently. I either have to type one of them each time or to click for kde dialog and select from the left side bar. both annoying.

the missing combo is the reason I like the old two-step approach more.

The widget currently used for this, doesn't support this, further more it has URL completion (for easily navigating directories), so I don't see how you can easily add a history box in there to.

completion does not help much in this case. I'd prefer to have plain input line with history.
