In transmission there is a feature which tells the user how many downloads there are already done for this torrent. I happen to not know how they get this information, but is it possible to implement this feature in ktorrent in the near future?
Thanks, PS.We could spare ourselves the headache and just ask on trasnsmission forum where to search for in the sourcecode. |

The tracker sends this information in the scrape reply : http://wiki.theory.org/BitTorrentSpecif ... Convention At the moment we don't do anything with it, but we could show it somewhere. |

That is a possibility, though this will probably result in people complaining that it is to wide in 800x600 resolution. |

On the topic of too-wide ... some KDE apps have a "..." button above the scroll-bar, to the right (or left? can you have the scroll bar on the left?) of the columns which pops up a little drop-down-like window where you can turn on and off columns. Perhaps that would be useful for ktorrent's main window there? For example, the "Time Left" column is useless in the upload tab
Individuals may not be interested in some of the columns you have, so they could turn them off. And you could add some of the other info to the list of available columns and allow people to turn them on. (Average up/down speeds, ratio/time limits, total number of completed downloads, etc.) |

So the right click menu to show and hide columns, on the column headers is not visible enough ? |

Well, I'll be. That's great. I didn't know about that before That's exactly what I was suggesting, just accessed differently. Well, with that, I don't see any problem in adding as many columns as you want, no matter the resolution - they can be turned off if someone doesn't want them. Well, no problem other than people knowing about them The "..." button that some apps have above the scroll bar seems to at least catch my attention - though I didn't know what it was the first time I saw it, it begged to be clicked on, and I quickly figured out what it was for |

Juk does it the same way, but is not really visible, and not many people would think of right clicking on the column. So maybe such a button would make sense. |
