Just restart the torrent, and the missing chunk will be redownloaded.

Hi!

I am wondering if there is a way to tell KT to redownload a file that it shows as being complete. The reason behind this is that I downloaded a large file with plenty of chunks which eventually completed and ended up on the "Uploads" page (i.e. having 100%), however trying to use the file (i.e. mount it, it's an ISO image), I get a data corruption error.

Running a KT "Data Integrity Check" also rightly points out that there's one missing/invalid chunk. However, somehow the file still ended up being shown as "completed".

Thus, I wonder if there is any recommended way to put the file again on the "downloads" page, so that it can be scheduled for partial redownloading (i.e. get those chunks that are missin/invalid).

Also, I wonder if there is a checksum check being done before files are considered "complete" and moved to the "upload" page?

I guess, ultimately one could still consider hand-copying the file to a different location and restarting the torrent from scratch?

Thanks,
Segmented

PS: KT 2.5.4

Thinking about it some more, given that there's a possibility to identify broken files, it seems relatively logical to also have a facility to reschedule files in order to download corrupted/missing parts.

In this sense, data integrity checking might benefit from being run in a threaded, non-modal fashion - where completion status might possibly be shown as a progress bar for the corresponding torrent in the status list, rather than a modal dialog view that unnecessarily occupies screen estate.

That way, it would be rather intuitive to run multiple checks at once, so that status would be depicted for each individual torrent within the list view.

Interesting post order ;-)

there's no "restart" facility provided directly in the context menu, only "start"-however, selecting "start" will merely enable seeding of the already completed torrent, while selecting "stop" will stop seeding.

err, now after a restart and another integrity check, KT will indeed put the corresponding download again on the right page and tries to redownload the missing 0.10 %

weird....
