Feature request:

Make bandwidth sheduler omit speed limits for certain countries by user choice. For example, limit up/down speeds from 17.00 to 00.00, except from/to users from Lithuania or any other country (based on maxmind library).

For example, I have 1Gbit of LT channel, and 30Mbit of international. I want to limit international traffic on rush ours, because many people share connection with me.
And, maybe, you could also define ip addresses not to limit speed to/from. Would be useful if you are connected to ISP where everyone have real ip addresses.

So, is it hard to implement, or you simply find it useless?

If you ever have some free time, won't you think about adding this feature? It is really annoying to limit download to 500KB/s at daytime, in spite of I have free 1Gb/s channel between LT users and a lot of seeds as well.

Thanks in advace.

What's LT ? Anyway can't you use the IP filter to block all the countries you want like I do ? :P

LT stands for Lithuania :)
I don't want them to be blocked. I just want ktorrent not to limit upload/download to these users, speed must be limited to worldwide users only.

3.1 (dev) allows to set download and upload limits for each group separately. Since most of your LT stuff comes from LT private trackers, the only thing you need to do would be to assign each new torrent to the appropriate group with appropriate limits set.

Is 1 Gb inside Lithuania common there ? Here it's only 100 Mb + some ISPs may offer 1 Gb with other clients of that ISP.

Not exactly. Usually I use russian trackers, where a lot of LT users download from.

1Gb is common between cities(for ISP), users usually get around 20-50mbps (real, not connection speed). Since I am ISP, and downloading very much for local ftp, I am interested in limiting worldwide traffic at daytime not to take up all bandwidth.

I see. :) So we're not overtaken by Lithuania. :P I get a pretty constant 80 mbps. I was wondering if the realtek 8101 is not the limiting factor by any chance.

He is talking about bandwidth inside the country. ISPs, that use fiber, (there are not many of them) give end users from 10mbps to 100mbps each of local (inside LT) traffic. On the other hand, international bandwidth is quite expensive.

Yes, I understood that- when I was talking about my 80 mbps I meant just inside Romania too. :) There are many such ISPs around here. :P

It it still possible to implement this feature?
