Unix socket vs Qt Socket

Sat Mar 08, 2008 6:08 pm
I was trying to compile ktorrent on windows but i've discovered that ktorrent uses unix socket instead of qt one, so i was wondering why did you take this decision? it would be nice to compile ktorrent on windows without using thousand of ifdef to use winsock or any other platform where qt is supported. So do you plan to port ktorrent to qt socket in the future? :)

Qt sockets did not suit our needs, I haven't really looked at the current socket implementation of Qt4, but seeing that our code is working fine, I don't see much benefit in switching.
