Had this problem for a while on bitsoup, but I wonder if it's only me. Bitsoup's tracker seems to be really slow and about half the time when the tracker updates, the connection to the tracker time out. After a couple tries it connects succesfully, but the problem is that is seems the stats are lost after the connection time out and whats sent to the tracker is what happens between the timed out connection and the succesful one.
Anyone else had this problem ? Sorry btw if i'm not making myself clear, I really have to write more in english (but then I suck at writing in my first langage (french) hehe ). Edit : Forgot to say i'm using KTorrent 3.0.0 on kde 4.0.2, but had this problem with all versions of KTorrent. |

The stats which are sent to the tracker, are updated before each attempt. If the announce is a start, the values of uploaded and downloaded are reset to 0. Uploaded and download only indicate how much has been sent since the last started event. So for each started event they need to be 0.

Huh, ok. But what happens in the case I tried to descibe on my original post ? KTorrent can't reach the tracker on the first try because of whatever reason and I seem to lose those stats when it finally can send them. I wonder if it's a problem with this specific tracker though.
