2.2.5 Doesn't Allow Spaces in Paths

Tue Mar 25, 2008 4:15 am
KTorrent version 2.2.5 on Ubuntu 7.10 does not allow spaces to files or folders for torrents on NTFS partitions. I have not tried FAT or EXT3, but would assume this bug exists there too.

Example:

Invalid:
/media/sda1/Documents and Settings/Administrator/torrent_folder
/media/sda1/Documents%20and%20Settings/Administrator/torrent_folder

Can anyone else verify this bug?

Must be a NTFS only thing, I will see if I can reproduce this.

After about 15 minutes of trying, it worked. KTorrent is quite confusing when you are downloading or uploading a torrent that is sharing a folder. KTorrent doesn't tell you where to download, inside the folder or to the path before the folder. I found out it was before the folder. Can this be clarified in the future?

Scratch this being an NTFS problem; I thought it would have been the spaces in Documents and Settings that would have stopped it from pulling correctly. Note the same problem with downloading or uploading a torrent that is sharing a folder exists for Transmission.

Regards,
John
