I had this problem with 3.0.0. Today I upgraded to the latest 3.1dev (r792476) and the problem is still there. When you fix it, let me know the rev #.

Steps to reproduce:
    1. Get a multifile torrent
    2. Load it with ktorrent, unselect a few files, start downloading.
    3. While torrent is running, go to the InfoWidget Files tab and select a previously unselected file in the torrent. Now things go wrong:
      1) the approriate file in download location is not created;
      2) however, eventually ktorrent will download file data to some temporary file in ~/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/torX and even report it as completed. successfully as long as torrent is not restarted.
    4. When the torrent or ktorrent itself is restarted, ktorrent asks to recreate a lost file (which it does fine) and redownloads (yes, it fetches the same data again) it to the correct location afterwards.

I can't reproduce it. I have tried several times, and the files are always created.

Is there anything special to see in the log ?

Sorry, folders do not get created. Files in already existing folders are created fine.

Nothing relevant.

Indeed if the folder does not exist, the creation fails.

I have fixed the problem in rev 793490

Thank you. I'll upload this or later revision to Debian/experimental. r792476 has been working fine for me for 2 days already. Great job!
