I got a list of filtered IPs for most of the countries in the world in the format:

ANDORRA:85.94.160.0-85.94.191.255

I added them fine after enabling the plugin but only a few IPs seem to be blocked, unlike in deluge which blocks most of them. In the log I see maybe 2 dozen IP 0.0.0.0 is blacklisted. Connection denied and very few other IPs.

Do you see connections to any of the blocked ranges ?

Well- to make it as clear as possible- I made a blocklist of all the countries in the world except mine. I tested it again now with a torrent with a high number of peers (1100). Deluge didn't allow any connections to be made- no download activity at all, while with the same torrent KTorrent started to happily download the file connecting to more than 100 peers from all over the world, all of which deluge blocked and which KTorrent should have blocked too, since all of them are foreign (all sorts of countries) and on the block list.

OK, I have fixed the bug in the KDE4 version, tomorrow I will backport the fix to the 2.2 series.

Did it make it into 2.2.6 then ? And I got a question about ram usage- is it normal for ktorrent to be using about 100 mb or more of ram with a few torrents downloading or seeding ? Deluge is using much less with even more torrents and it kinda slows the pc I use for torrents to a crawl.

EDIT: About the ram issue--> using 2.2.6 now with about 4 torrents without much ram being used.
EDIT2: Oh and the IP filter works fine now. Tks! :P

After I finished downloading another torrent and shortly after it started being seeded top RES column for ktorrent showed 130 mb again. I restarted at it was much better, it seems to be influenced by the upload speed-it is around 100 mb again after it started uploading with 1 or 2 MB/s.
