I'm using ktorrent 2.2.2, and I apologize if these have been fixed in newer versions.
It sometimes happens when I download a torrent with several files that ktorrent seemingly downloads all the files and reports that the download is completed, but then one of the files is corrupted. If I remove the torrent and then download it again, ktorrent will check the integrity of the files and notice that that one file is partially corrupted (usually something like 98% ok), then redownloads the corrupted part, and then the file will be ok. There's obviously a bug if it leaves part of the file corrupted in the first place, but claims that the download is complete. Last time this happened what I did was that I redownloaded the torrent and then unselected all the files except the one which was corrupted, and started downloading it. This was a grave mistake: It made ktorrent to remove all the other files without asking. All the downloading down the drain in a few seconds. Could it *please* not do that? Or at least ask if you really want to remove those files? |
