what happened to the RSS plugin? I don't see it in the plugins dir in the source, nor can I find any rss feature in the main code.
Is it going to be re-implemented anytime soon? It was a really handy feature. |

Yes I agree "The KTorrent RSS plugin was very well designed" and much appreciated.
Rock solid, hate to ask for more but feature I would like to see added would be ability to set download location per filter. So each show goes to unique folder. |

One thing I'm noticing that's annoying in the 2.x RSS reader is that it runs on the same thread as the UI. when I press the "process" for filters, or "refresh" for feeds, it should spawn an asynchronous call to free up the UI and the UL/DL. Looking at my bandwidth it seems to drop client connections when doing long processing of the feeds due to eating CPU. Sometimes these actions can take up to a minute to complete it seems.
Not high priority, but certainly an annoyance. With systems having multiple cores, it seems that more things (like plugin actions) should be pushed off on a separate thread. |

I was wondering if there will be a search function for the rss feed plugin. not a big deal, its just that I tend to keep a listing for longer than a month.

I use google reader for my searches. It's pretty convenient, and I don't have to clog up the RSS plugin with unneeded history. |
