If I add a torrent via web gui (upload file or point to url) it times out...sometimes the torrent is added when I re-login.
However when I check what is on the screen of the computer there are about two dozen dialog boxes claiming error or that the torrent already has been added. After closing the boxes ktorrent proceeds to crash and the torrents that were added in the crashed session disappear (files remain). It would be kind of nice if ktorrent only added my torrents once ![]() P.S. oh yeah I'm using kubuntu 8.4 ktorrent packages (3.0.1) |

Not that you may care, but I have never really been able to get the webgui to work correctly when uploading torrents either via a url or a local file. I finally just gave up on it and use the "Scan Folder" plugin exclusively. I have a SAMBA share setup on the computer running ktorrent and set scan folder to watch that folder, from there I just transfer whatever I need into that folder. If I am logging in remotely then I just transfer something in using "scp" to get the torrent started.
I doubt that this really helps, but this has been my experience. Conrad |
