sidux too fast OS

Mon Jul 28, 2008 7:43 pm
I have now sidux installed as my OS on my laptop. I have to say that i like it more than any other linux distro, but it is too fast!

No seriously, they made this distro so fast that when i load a torrent file, KTorrent can not pick it up as it is loading a half downloaded torrent file. I really need to save the file and load it from my desktop to get a torrent going...

Can we do anything about this?

Euhm, the scanfolder plugin should handle this.

I know, but when one just want to load a torrent from konqueror, you will get a popup box saying that the torrent is either not a torrent file or corrupted. It shouldn't be the case.

Doesn't konq show partially downloaded files with a .part extension ?

It does, but somehow KTorrent is triggered too fast to load the torrent file. Don't ask me why. I have only seen this happening on sidux yet.

Shouldn't konq wait until it is fully downloaded then ?

Off source. Hmm, maybe i should report this as an konqueror bug on bugs.kde.org.

ktorrent shouldn't be started against the torrent file before the kioslave has finished downloading it. I can' reproduce this here.
Packaging bug in sidux, maybe?

EDIT: Here ktorrent opens, and then the kio-progress-thingy pops up and finishes, before ktorrent shows the download dialog.

Is there a big site for sidux that anyone knows about?

EDIT
Ah, found it. http://bugs.jacklab.net/
