The toolbar settings saved in the ktorrentui.rc XML file get read automatically by KToolbar::loadState() when the GUI is created from that file. The text and icon settings are not saved in that file.
The MainWindow section of the kconfig file ktorrentrc looks like this if you've edited your toolbar text or icon settings:
Only the first part is read back in GUI::loadState(). The toolbar sections never get loaded. |

Ok, it's mostly fixed.
However, now my problem is that the download toolbar doesn't save it's positioning, so half the buttons on the main toolbar are hidden by the download toolbar when ktorrent starts. I have to unlock the toolbars, drag the download toolbar to the right, and relock the toolbars to reveal te buttons. Does the xml file only remember the default position of the toolbars? I don't know if that's fixable. On a related topic, the name and status column widths in the main view sometimes resetting to the width of their longest member when minimizing or restoring from the system tray. Is that fixable? Other columns may do it too but I haven't noticed. |

Nope. All it did was the first time I ran ktorrent, the download toolbar was even farther over the main toolbar than usual. After setting it, then quitting and starting again, exactly the same as before.
Also, did you get a chance to look at my directory percentage completion patch? |

You sure, toolbar sizes now get restored here.
Not yet, I'm looking at some other patches first |

OK, with the download toolbar on the left and the main toolbar all the way on the right, it doesn't move to hide any buttons. If I put the download toolbar on the right, it moves. I reproduced this back and forth several times. Wierd.
Anyway, this is good enough for me, since I can now see all my buttons at once. |
