After 3 days of running 24/7 with somewhere between 80-100 torrents Ktorrent slowly consume 1.2 GB memory. When it reaches 1.2 GB it stops responding and the GUI is white. Then I I have to kill it and start it over and about 3 days later I have to kill it again so its very consistent.

My environment:
Kubuntu 8.04.1, KDE 4.1.1 and 8 GB memory.

I have upgraded to 3.1.3 and I still have this problem.
Is there any plans too fix it? Is it something I can do to help track the bug down?

The whole chunk data management code has been rewritten in trunk to consume a lot less memory, this should make sure things can't get to this state.

That sounds good.
Is their any time frame on when a version that has this code will be released? Are we talking about days, weeks or months?

I'm just wondering if I should just go back to Utorrent and wine or just wait and keep restarting Ktorrent every 48 hour. I wouldn't mind to keep restarting Ktorrent if a version isn't to far away.

No date has yet been decided, but the way things are looking at the moment, the 3.2 beta should get out in the middle of november.
