[svn] Unable to compile

Sun Oct 12, 2008 5:56 am
Hello,

I'm trying to compile the svn version 870243 and I get the following error message.

Code: Select all
[ 98%] Building CXX object plasma/dataengine/CMakeFiles/plasma_engine_ktorrent.dir/engine.o
/home/niklas/ktorrent/plasma/dataengine/engine.cpp: In constructor ‘ktplasma::Engine::Engine(QObject*, const QVariantList&)’:
/home/niklas/ktorrent/plasma/dataengine/engine.cpp:45: error: no matching function for call to ‘Plasma::DataEngine::DataEngine(QObject*&, const QList<QVariant>&)’
/usr/lib/kde4/include/plasma/dataengine.h:69: note: candidates are: Plasma::DataEngine::DataEngine(QObject*)
/usr/lib/kde4/include/plasma/dataengine.h:52: note:                 Plasma::DataEngine::DataEngine(const Plasma::DataEngine&)
/home/niklas/ktorrent/plasma/dataengine/engine.cpp: In member function ‘void ktplasma::Engine::dbusServiceUnregistered(const QString&)’:
/home/niklas/ktorrent/plasma/dataengine/engine.cpp:108: error: ‘removeAllData’ was not declared in this scope
/home/niklas/ktorrent/plasma/dataengine/engine.cpp: In member function ‘void ktplasma::Engine::removeTorrent(const QString&)’:
/home/niklas/ktorrent/plasma/dataengine/engine.cpp:138: error: ‘removeAllData’ was not declared in this scope
make[2]: *** [plasma/dataengine/CMakeFiles/plasma_engine_ktorrent.dir/engine.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [plasma/dataengine/CMakeFiles/plasma_engine_ktorrent.dir/all] Error 2
make: *** [all] Error 2

It is very likely that I'm doing something wrong here or that there is some dependency that I am unaware of.

I'm running ubuntu 8.04.

Please inform!

Current KTorrent only works on KDE4.1, so you need to upgrade...

Thanks for the help - an upgrade to kde 4.1 did the trick. It compiled and installed now.
