Feature Request: Shutdown options

Thu Dec 11, 2008 2:40 pm
Im a bit suprised that these features havent been introduced yet in ktorrent3. Is there any particular reason?

These options are essential to people who live in countries where your bandwidth per month is seperated into two different parts. Peak and Offpeak.

Since everybody surfs the net and downloads durring peak times, you have balance them by using the offpeak. And thats where these shutdown funtctions come in handy. They prevent me from going past the offpeak hours into peak.

So id really like to see these happen and im sure a lot of people would agree especially those night-timers.

But if you guys dont think these are necessary , then i respect that. You are the developers after all. And its *nix, we'll find a way.

Fedback: I just started using 3.1.5 and i must say it looks very good. A few crashes here and there but its a worthy upgrade form 2 series.

Keep up the good work...

Use the bandwidth scheduler, you can add items to the schedule to stop all torrents.

Not at the moment, though you could write a script for 3.2beta1 (it has a scripting plugin)
