This is strange, I've been seeing it for about a week, if a torrent is loaded from the scan folder plugin, it'll initially say its "up speed" is positive (which I can reproduce just by clicking the manual announce button), with no down speed, and no chunks started (but plenty of peers connected). If I restart ktorrent, the torrent starts up just fine, and usually downloads rather fast. But it seems the torrent wont start for hours, if it does at all.

I have been I've tested this problem several times, updated svn between, and retested again...
Weird though, something in the past day or so has fixed it. Though the scan folder plugin itself has a couple issues. I'll sometimes not see new files, and it'll sometimes leave .torrents in the scanned dir, even if you told it to move them. |

Yes indeed, heres a log containing the events durring, and after the ScanFolder plugin loads the torrent, sits for a little while (download doesn't start), then I exit out of ktorrent (coppied the log file), and start ktorrent back up, and the torrent starts just fine (I then exit back out, and copy that log file too).
edit, log was too large to paste in a code box... find it here. When ktorrent is re opened, it skews the download time left column quite a bit. Takes a while for it to count back down to where it should be (even if ktorrent was only had the torrent open for a very short time before hand). |

There seemed to be some of yes and no. Which was confusing, because then it should have connected to SOME peers if I understand how it works...
The unfortunate bit is it isn't happening right now, sometimes it works fine, sometimes it crashes with this:
And sometimes the torrent loads, but never actually starts downloading. |
