Is this possible? When you first open a torrent, it shows you a UI where you can deselect files that you don't want to download. Can you change what you selected after the torrent is already running?

Go into settings->configure ktorrent, select the plugins tab, and enable the infowidget plugin.

Looks like I did have a bad configuration.

I opened settings->congfigure ktorrent, went to the plugins tab, and it was empty.

Up to this point, I had been launching ktorrent through Alt+F2, so I wasn't seeing any warnings that it spit out. The important one being this:
ktorrent(1901)/kdecore (trader) KServiceTypeTrader::defaultOffers: KServiceTypeTrader: serviceType "KTorrent/Plugin" not found

I then found that I had installed ktorrent in /usr, but kde in /opt/kde. So kdecore wasn't looking in /usr/lib/kde4 for the ktorrent plugin files. Once I recompiled, it looks like it found everything correctly out of the box.
