[3.2rc1] Possible UI bug?

Sun Feb 08, 2009 6:13 pm
With 3.2 rc1, if I have the list of torrents in one particular group tab ordered by "% Complete" (and a few others), the sorting order of the torrents which haven't been started seems to alternate between alphabetical and reverse alphabetical per every screen update (which is currently 1000 ms).

To make matters worse, if I switch to a different tab and then back to that one, ktorrent crashes.
It doesn't always crash, but it never happens when I have them sorted by "Name" (which properly sorts them in alphabetical order, with no alternations).

Do you have a backtrace of the crash ?

Unfortunately, no.

It's running under hardened gentoo, which can make debugging a little difficult, and I haven't actually been able to recreate the crash when I tried (it didn't always happen before, but I'm a little surprised that I can't seem to forcibly recreate it...).

However alternation between alphabetical sorting order is still there, and is constant.

Has no one else reported anything similar?

I'm running tonight's build (svn) in arch and I've noticed the exact same behavior.

I used an arch 'community' build package that didn't include debug so I'll have to recompile and try to get a backtrace.

I just wanted to confirm that I'm having the same behavior with today's 3.2 release.

I've just updated to kdelibs 4.2.1 a couple of days ago, and haven't experienced this behaviour since.
