Mailing list

Tue Mar 17, 2009 5:23 am
Hi there,

Is there a developer mailing list or all communications take place over this forum? I've been looking for a mailing list and couldn't find it. :(

Thanks in advance,
Juan

No there is currently no mailing list available, we have a irc channel #ktorrent on freenode though but there are no developers there.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I'd just like to suggest for one to be setup. :)

A developer mailing list for one developer is rather pointless.

At this point in time only one active developer.

Ivan used to be active, but no longer has the time. He is the only other developer who worked on all of KT.

Then there was Alan Jones, who did the first RSS plugin, but he never really got around to a new plugin for the 3.X series, so I made the syndication plugin myself.

There was Krzysztof Kundzicz, who only did the stats plugin (in both the KDE3 and KDE4 version).

And finally you had Diego, who did the first version of the web interface plugin, but that has been reworked several times. Originally the plugin used PHP, now it works with plain HTML, XML and javascript (aka AJAX). So there is probably not much code of him left.
