In Version 3.1.4 (4.1) if i download a torrent with a single file there is no way to not download that file. Im not sure if its a bug or the ktorrent devs are trying to be clever but please allow me to not download individual files, because if i start downloading a torrent, then i decide i no longer want/need it the only way for me to get a good ratio is to download the whole thing then seed for quite some time (i have a 20:1 connection) under the kde3 version i could simply stop downloading, the file and on torrents with >1 file i can stop downloading all files, then what i had would be seeded until i deleted it.
I'm not one to preach about programing given you guys know much more than me but if this was a "feature" then i think its a good example of why you shouldn't stop users doing stupid things. thx ~RIotingP |

It wasn't possible to deselect the only file in a single file torrent in the KDE3 version either. This has never been possible. Anyway, can you not compensate by uploading a different torrent a bit longer ? |

I think we just need mode "seed without downloading" instead of adding ability to deselect 1 file in single-file torrent. It will be helpful for any amount of files in torrent. You can download any parts and seed them as long, as you want.
What isn`t remembered never happened. Memory is merely a record. You just need to rewrite that record.

Not entirely sure where you'd add this to the gui but basically the ability to set upload speed to actual 0 instead of 0=infinity would be nice, ofc i think that would require major work but would be pretty nice. |

The ability to only seed is on my TODO list, only download is against the spirit of the protocol and not very nice. |
