Would it be possible to have 2.2.8 gracefully handle missing files. As it stands right now if you setup ktorrent to move files from the downloads directory into another directory, then remove that file, ktorrent continues to try and seed it until it crashes silently. Additionally After you restart ktorrent it notes the missing file, however the only actions are recreate the file, or cancel the operation - annoying but this is fine. However. in some cases it appears that ktorrent will reuse torXXX directories which were formally occupied by the now missing file. This results in a very long restart delay and eventually a coredump. The only way to figure out which file is causing this is to strace -ff ktorrent and wait for the problem... Very annoying.

Anyways, I love ktorrent and think so far it's the best available, that said I can't really upgrade at this point to 3.x as I still prefer KDE3 over KDE4, I was hoping some of these things are fixed, and can be backported to 2.2.8.

Thanks!

2.2.8 is no longer being developed, so any problems with it will not be fixed.
