Seperate LAN speed limits

Sat Jun 13, 2009 12:59 pm
Hi all!
I was thinking of switching to kTorrent(from Vuze). I tried version 3.2.1.
However i am missing(or maybe i didn't find it?) one vital function.

I have a **** internet connection(2048Kbps/256Kbps) and a high speed LAN connection(Gigabit LAN so real speed of about 700Mbps). There are several trackers on my LAN.

The problem arises because i don't want the speed limits i use for the internet connection to be applied to the LAN trackers. LAN connections are significantly faster, therefore its important they don't obey the speed limit.
Vuze had that and deluge, which i am also trying, has this also, so i was wondering if this feature is available on kTorrent?

I'll second that. Plus using multiple SOCKS-proxies would be a plus for me.

And why ktorrent does not make outgoing connections from my default gateway when using a SOCKS proxy? This is not a problem with healthy torrents but i find it restricting.
I have a 'torrent machine' on LAN with SOCKS-routers each having their own internet access. No need for fancy load balancing, just push out the connections
