I'm running Windows Vista Business w/utorrent 1.8.2 and backtrack 4 beta w/ktorrent3.1.2, just installed ktorrent. I imported torrents that had previously been downloaded with utorrent client, 3 seeding, 1 leeching. 2 of the torrents had ~uTorrentPartFiles from parts of the download that were cancelled (sample, sfv, and nfo files.) When ktorrent started two of the seeding files started downloading the 1st .rar file (which was already completed) and the sfv, sample and nfo files. When windows was loaded the client rechecked the torrents that were used between both clients, with no errors, to the files, and completed files properly unrar'ed, however, when uploading the affected files (presumably, may be from downloading uncompleted parts of the file still being d/l'ed) windows crashes with a BSOD error PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. Also for some reason the icon changed from the standard to one with two figures in windows, not sure what that change signifies.

If ktorrent can crash your OS, you should switch OS.

It is either a bug in the operating system or a bug in a driver. I don't see much what we can do about this.

How do you prevent uTorrent from taking up all of the Bandwidth? Right, I spending time on my Computer, and playing Call of Duty on my PS3, however, it appears that when everytime a member of my family on another computer uses uTorrent, it uses all of the Bandwith in our house. And I know it is uTorrent, because I have checked that everytime my connection is slow, it is because uTorrent is downloading, or seeding.

This forum is about ktorrent, not µTorrent
