Would be great if ktorrent will be able to rename files in torrents and root folder (if present of course).
For example, just click on "Files" tab, select some file after that, click F2 (or delay with mouse as usual) and rename file as you wish. Such feature is present in deluge torrent client and it's very useful. |

I've been playing around and I'm sure its possible, until its implemented you can do it manually,
turn off ktorrent move the files, edit ~/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/torX/file_map Start up ktorrent to find the what tor corresponds to your torrent you can try grep <relevent word> ~/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/tor*/stats anyway i hope this feature is implemented but until such a time, if you really need this feature you can do this. |

This solution undoubtedly working, but all the same hack. So many actions need to do..
Anyway thanks.

I'm just so used to this feature from Azureus... but since Vuze I don't use it any more (I hate Vuze). The only disadvantage now is that I can't rename the files how I like it and still keep on seeding. I sure would seed torrents much longer if this feature was available. |

I cannot find how I can rename files in torrent after start. Can somebody describe me how can I do?
In the right click menu I found the same entries as in KTorrent 3.2: -Open - Download fast - Download normally - Download last - Do not download - Delete file(s) - Move file - this function only move to another folder, not rename - Collapse folder tree - Expand folder tree So. Double clicking on file with timeout not make renaming this. |

This key don't work too. This work to rename torrent only but not files inside.

Oh. I now about this. It's already added in 3.2.5.
But what about rename files after starting download? |

10 years later, still don't see an option to do this. And the configuration file doesn't seem to be at the mentioned place anymore either...

Found a workaround, though it only worked for one of two torrents:
edit $XDG_DATA_HOME/ktorrent/tor<id>/file_info Replace the content with the new path of the file(s) |
