When choosing "Move completed downloads to:" etc. it would be very nice to be able to automaticly add a folder with the group name.
Move completed downloads to: /mnt/storage/downloads/torrent/finished/<here the group name would be> eg. Group Name for my torrent is: tv-shows Move completed downloads to: ~/finished/tv-shows/ eg. Group Name for my torrent is: movies Move completed downloads to: ~/finished/movies/ |

i was thinking the same- having torrents sorted when done into my movies, music, etc folders would save a whole lot of time. or having quick links when starting a torrent to have it put in pre defined folders.

how is this different from setting group policy to a default save location?

Setting default location in group policy will save an incoming torrent in the finish folder. What I meant was that the completed torrent would move into a folder named after its group. |

It seams it would be better to simply apply move to folder on completion, as that allows you to do much more (e.g map movies to $dir/video/movies instead of just $dir/movies ), i think that feature has already been requested for exactly this purpose. |

I agree. It would be great to have a "Move completed downloads to" option under a Group that would override the main "Move completed downloads to" option. This way, all torrents could have the same default download location, but based on their group they would be moved to a specific location (I.E /movies or /tvshows) when they're completed.

I thought I would share my work-around for this. Simply create a cron job that moves them for you:
This is set to run every minute. "/home/media/p2p" is where all completed downloads are moved to. #!/usr/bin/bash mv /home/media/p2p/Survivor*.avi /home/media/tvshows/ mv /home/media/p2p/*Office*.avi /home/media/tvshows/ mv /home/media/p2p/Chuck*.avi /home/media/tvshows/ |
