I'd like to suggest that KT use the appropriate cookies from my browser when loading a torrent by url.
Some sites require the right cookies to be set when retrieving the torrent file. When I click a link or type the url into the browser, the file is retrieved and passed to KT for processing. But if I use
Right now I have to download the .torrent file and pass a file:///tmp/some_file url to the loadSilently() method. Uh, while I'm asking, what about if the load() and loadSilently() methods returned the info-hash of the newly loaded torrent rather than void? Thanks...

Normally cookies should be used. Are you sure you are logged in into the site ? Logins can expire.

Yes, I am logged in on the browser. I'm using Firefox 3.5.2 which stores cookies in: ~/.mozilla/firefox/ksad23hf.default/cookies.sqlite

Use konqueror, it uses KIO like ktorrent does, so cookies are shared.
