KTorrent 3.3rc1 and 3.2.5 released

Sat Oct 24, 2009 10:57 am
The 3.3 release is coming soon, in preparation for this the first release candidate is out. It fixes a lot of bugs in the beta. For a full list take a look in the ChangeLog file.

We have also released 3.2.5, the last release in the 3.2 series. It fixes a crash and the broken tracker timeout handling.

Howdy. I just began using v3.2 in Ubuntu+Gnome (or whatever the latest version is offered for Jaunty) and I really like it. Any µTorrent fan (uh like me) can get comfortable. I found it in Wikipedia's 'comparison of bittorrent clients'. The Qt4 interface, web interface is real slick & pretty, and the included plugins are a wonderful plus too. I didn't notice if a 'disk cache' feature was missing or not until I read the posts on this forum site. Oh well...I guess my NTFS external USB drive is okay without a the cache since the linux kernel handles some of that. I'll try to DL and install a newer release soon.
Thanks for one of the Koolest GUI bt clients out there! :D
