I was able to successfully compile and install 3.3rc1 in jaunty. I just upgraded to karmic and now cmake fails with a "Phonon includes NOT found". I checked and both phonon and phonon-dev packages are installed. Help
I have attached the output of cmake. -- Looking for pthread_create in pthread - found -- Found Threads: TRUE -- Found Automoc4: /usr/bin/automoc4 -- Found Perl: /usr/bin/perl -- Phonon includes NOT found! CMake Error at /usr/share/kde4/apps/cmake/modules/FindPhonon.cmake:63 (message): Phonon library or includes NOT found! How about a useful answer instead?
What worked for me was to completely remove the libphonon4 package and then reinstall the phonon. libphonon-dev, libqt4-phonon and libqt4-phonon-dev packages. Didn't dig into it further. Doing this allowed me to get the 3.3.3 ktorrent version to build on karmic. |

This is also what it took to get it to compile in the latest ubuntu 10.4.
apt-get install --reinstall phonon libqt4-phonon libqt4-phonon-dev libphonon-dev |
