Hi,
just wanted to let you know some things which i have noticed after i installed the windows version of ktorrent. I am using ktorrent on Mandriva Linux for a long time now and thought i try the windows version too. So i installed ktorrent 3.3.1 with KDE 4.3.4 . OS: WinXP Pro SP2 ktorrennt 3.3.1 KDE 4.3.4 What i have noticed: - when i create a torrent then i can only select a file but not a complete folder. If i select a folder and wanna create the torrent from this folder, then the folder gets opened when i click on open. I need to choose a file inside the folder, click on open and then remove the file from the path string. I can create the torrent from the folder this way but this is not the way it should work. - when saving the torrent file (if you create a torrent) then you see in the dropdown where you can choose the extension .torrent.torrent instead of .torrent - when i open a torrent via right mouse click - open with ktorrent, then a new instance from ktorrent is started for each torrent that i open this way. If i open 10 torrents this way then i have 1 + 10 instances and to get rid of them i need to close all of them and restart ktorrent. except that the windows version works good. hope these bugs get fixed soon. cheers |

That is a KDE bug
I get the string "Torrent files [*.torrent] (*.torrent)", also a KDE bug. The integration with the save and load dialogs on windows is bad, sometimes you get the native one, sometimes a KDE one. The KDE
Also KDE problem I'm gonna report these. |
