Is there some other switch to get newly added torrents to actually start? Or, is there some checkbox to set priority of new torrents to "1"?

Not at the moment, you could do this with a script.

Currently when I add a new torrent*, there is about a 45 second ktorrent freeze** while it adds the torrent. And there is another 45 second freeze after I open Queue Manager and manually click the "Move torrent to top of queue" button.

*Tested on a torrent w/ a single 132KB file. Using larger torrents increases freeze time for disk allocation.

**I have now timed this several times, and it seems every time Queue Manager rearanges (saves?) the queue this freeze occurs.

I admit I really like the features of the Queue Manager, but is there a way to turn it completely off? Or uninistall its plugin?

Best,
Sam

If you control torrents manually, the only thing the QM does is sort it's torrents based on priority. (And this is only to keep the widget up to date).
