I was wondering if there is any plan to move ktorrent socks support to the general kde proxy settings, it is in fact a very wished feature: here, here and here.

I'm not involved with KDE's networking stuff, but our socks support is tightly nit into our core networking code (which is all custom stuff), I doubt it would be a good idea to use our code for this. IMHO KDE should use Qt's socks support and be done with it.
