If helps, here's a valgrind output regarding a crash of KTorrent 4.1
http://pastebin.com/VX8CcWJq Later on I'll recompile KTorrent with debugging symbols. Regards, Nicolás |

That is a crash in Qt, which should be resolved in Qt 4.7.1

Ok, thanks for the answer. BTW, how do you compile with debugging symbols?

Add -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=DebugFull to the cmake parameters

here's my .bash_aliases:
alias kto='cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=$(kde4-config --prefix) -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=DebugFull .. && make && sudo make install' Did it and when crashing nothing happens (Dr. Konqui is not launched) Uninstalled and recompiled and again, nothing happens when it crashes. Is there something wrong? |

in kubuntu there is no Dr Konqui package but it comes with kubuntu-debug-installer. For the 4.0.x branch it would start, but no for the 4.1
It did only once, but adviced that there wasn't any kubuntu debugging symbols installed, and so the report was unuseful and wouldn't let me fill a report. |

I don't know how drkonqi is triggered exactly

I'm happy to tell that unactivating every 'Move when completed to' voids every crash so far in 4.1

I think the reason of my crashes relies on the fact that I've been keeping the home folder (~/.kde4/share/apps/ktorrent) since of version 3.x ... I'm sure that rebuilding the home folder will make ktorrent work great. Could it be?

Will not make a difference |

Lately I've been running ktorrent with a few torrents running at a time (2-4). It made it very stable. Could instability come when running a lot (20) of torrents simultaneously?

I have 107 torrents active. ktorrent (4.0.5, 4.1rc1, now 4.1) is rock solid. |

under Arch it is Rock Solid as you said! under kubuntu ... well ... it is not

In the wiki / FAQ is good, but there is a certain missing: libgcrypted's. Not find any edit button on the wiki; or Firefox do not remember my password.
