The first bugfix release for the 4.1 series is out. It fixes several crashes, a deadlock and some minor GUI bugs. A new bugfix release for libktorrent is also out.

For more details about all the fixes, take a look in the ChangeLog files included in the tar balls.

The fix is only in the master branch, it was not backported to the 1.1 branch of libktorrent

Hello!

I have a STB and I need to add the ability to download torrents and to be able to view streaming video. Does libktorrent 1.1.1 can play streaming video? Or is it only possible using KTorrent?

Thank you.

The media player plugin which plays videos is part of ktorrent, so libktorrent can't play videos.

Yes libktorrent offers the feature to sequenctially download a torrent.

However, this is only triggered from the media player plugin, when you start playing an incomplete video.
