The plasma-widget-ktorrent does not show the text inside correctly and just crops all usefull information that should be displayed.
Kubuntu 12.04 64bit KDE 4.8.2 ps. It has been broken in Kubuntu for a long long time and I am trying to figure it out. I mention this every 6 months in the Kubuntu Forum but nobody cares. So I figured I would mention it here.

I'm reviving an older post.
Here is a detailed description of the issue. I can reproduce this in System Settings -> Application Appearance -> Fonts. When I check Force fonts DPI and set it to 140 The text does not display correctly in Ktorrent Widget even with plasma rescaling. This is not specific to Kubuntu. I get the same behavior in openSUSE 12.3. I beleive this has to do with "retina"/High density displays where the DPI is set much higher. This is my system info. OS info: Kubuntu 12.04 32-bit on bare metal single boot Desktop Linux Kernel 3.2.0-51-generic-pae KDE Platform Version 4.8.5 GRand Unified Bootloader (Legacy version) 0.97-29ubuntu66 Desktop info: ASUS CM5570 - AP002 Intel Pentium Processor E5300 ASUS NVidia GeForce GT 610 with 2GB DDR3 6 GB System Ram 3 Western Digital HDs internal 1 Optical Drive internal Here are the screen shots that illustract this issue. Plasma rescaling does not change this. Please let me know if you need more information. Thanks, life0riley |

If resizing the KTorrent widget does not fix this issue, then I suspect you may have encountered a layouting bug in the applet. In that case, the only way to get this fixed is to file a bug against KTorrent requesting this to be fixed.
Are any other similar Plasma applets affected by the same issue?
