kTorrent could make more use of the "Time Left" column by creating and using a separate formula for each torrent status whose time-to-completion can be estimated. Download time seems to be the only one currently being estimated.
Other possible estimates (off the top of my head): * Seeding, when a seeding-ratio target has been specified * Transferring from landing to storage Also: If time-to-completion would not be meaningful or can not be estimated, then the "Time Left" column should not be used. My version (v4.1.1 unsing KDE 4.6.5 under Ubuntu) is still trying to estimate download time after downloading is complete (whenever some peer seems to speculatively start sending an unneeded packet). 11,000 days to completion is meaningless, and its on-again, off-again display is distracting (but harmless). It would be better to stay blank and quiet, though best would be to re-purpose the column to estimate time to seeding target. |

Seeding time left, is already shown, but looking at the code, it doesn't work for all a
estimation algorithms. Need to fix that. |
