When I click on a magnet link, konqueror gives an error, including:

Code: Select all

Additional Information: Unable to create io-slave: klauncher said: Error loading 'ktorrent "%u"'.

And yet when I run this by hand at the konsole, I merely get:

Code: Select all

QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication. Application may misbehave.
ktorrent is already running !
QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication. Application may misbehave.


and the magnet is added to the running ktorrent. Is there some sort of configuration somewhere that needs resetting? This used to work ages ago, but hasn't worked in quite a while.

I'm running latest from git.

I'm running latest from git.

With konqueror 4.8.4 this seems to work fine.

I would recommend running "kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental" just to make sure no cache inconsistencies are preventing KTorrent or the Magnet protocol support being found in certain circumstances.

I'm trying Kubuntu 12.10 and magnet links do not work...

If you run "kioclient exec <magnet url>" what happens?
