Discussion for default save folder

Mon Oct 15, 2012 4:03 pm
Okay so I am getting rather into KDE it is now my DE of choice, but one little niggle I have is KTorrents default save location.

Can someone tell me why the Downloads folder isn't used? What is the reason behind it?

The thought had never occured to me, probably because the first thing I do is remove these kind of auto created folders, especially when they start with a capital letter (I like my folders lowercase)

Hmm I guess some people would remove it.

Where would I put a suggestion directly to the devs to at least on first run ask you where you want downloads to go?

The location of the "Downloads" folder is set in System Settings > Account Details > Paths. The default is ~/Downloads but can be changed there.

All feature requests should be done on http://bugs.kde.org
