Ktorrent slower than azureus?

Tue Oct 04, 2005 9:41 am
Hello,
I tried downloading several torrents with ktorrent first. The download rate seems not to be faster than 17 kb/s with any torrent. Azureus gets about 100 kb/s with the same torrent. I really want to use ktorrent, but not with this small download rate. Maybe I configured it wrong or something. It would be nice if someone gave me advice.
Thanks in advance.

Could you, please, post that torrent here or send it on email.

Also, please state the version you are running.

extremly slow download rate

Hello, I have the same problem, but I don't know if it is the opensuse torrent doing this. Probably I have a wrong setup, because my upload - download ration is more than 2?

Could you state the version you are using, and also try downloading some other torrent and see how it goes.

You can upgrade to 1.1 without loosing your tmp files. But, just to make sure, make a backup of your ~/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent and your tmp folders (if you left default settings that tmp directory is in the first one I mentioned).

There is nothing abnormal about a share ratio of 2, it just means that you uploaded twice the amount as data as you downloaded.

There is no rc2, you should be using 1.1
