How do I choose where to save files?

I do NOT have "Automatically save download to: " checked, so how come when I open a torrent it doesn't ask me where to put it?

Does it ask when the torrent is done?

That's kinda lame though.. Why write the data (potentially gigabytes worth) twice? Once to the temp dir, then to the final destination? Doubles the workload on your hard drive(s) and depending on your FS creates more chances for fragmentation.

Why not choose a final destination at the start and just write to it?

First of all we do not write twice, we write once, then move it to a final location and create symlinks in the temp dir.

But this has changed in the svn version, we now directly save at the final location.
