I was wondering why whenever I reboot and come to the desktop, KTorrent opens automatically. (I don't have any torrents running) I also checked in my start up menu and it is not listed.
Do you have any reasons why this would happen? I am using Suse 10.0 with KDE. Thank you in advance for any assistance. |

Thank you for the advice. I actually figured it out later on last night.
I went to "Service Manager" and clicked on "defaults" and it removed all from start up. I then rebooted and it went away. I had no idea which one it was in the Service Manager but none of the names seemed to be the KTorrent. Thank you again for your assistance. Now..if I can only figure out how to reboot without logging off first. That is a strange thing in KDE. In Gnome you have that option. |

That happens to me to if I startup my PC in runlevel 3 (boot to console), if I boot to X (runlevel 4 in slackware, 5 in most other distros), I have the option to reboot and shut the computer down (note I use kdm as a login manager, I think if you use gdm, you also only get the logout option) |

Well, I think it is just the session manager in the kde control center. If you left KT running the session manager will restore it unless you check off "Start with an Empty session." I Checked my Service managet and KT was not there. Your issue is not happening to me, but for what it is worth I replied. Paul |
