Ktorrent and ports again

Sat Oct 29, 2005 4:27 pm
Hi to all!!

I0m using ktorretn right now, and it works. But i have a problem. I'm using kmyfirewall as iptables script, and I've set thw port and UDP tracker port correctly, and forwarded to my PC. But ktorrent, when connecting to other clients, open other different ports, according to netstat:
Code: Select all
539 192.168.1.34:59093      201.141.49.41:19944     ESTABLISHED
tcp        0   1657 192.168.1.34:43693      80.26.45.171:6565       ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      0 192.168.1.34:57964      200.90.216.18:6881      ESTABLISHED
tcp        0     48 192.168.1.34:36076      82.158.78.196:9485      ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      0 192.168.1.34:56743      85.48.137.177:20800     ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      5 192.168.1.34:50518      201.144.218.198:6881    ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      0 192.168.1.34:50662      82.158.63.39:6881       ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      0 192.168.1.34:56499      200.119.43.215:6881     ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      0 192.168.1.34:35425      201.145.199.143:6886    ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      0 192.168.1.34:39629      217.217.23.101:26106    ESTABLISHED
tcp        0    583 192.168.1.34:49167      81.172.20.84:6881       ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      0 192.168.1.34:53122      83.213.58.26:6881       ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      0 192.168.1.34:41979      81.202.52.106:6882      ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      0 192.168.1.34:43686      62.42.12.164:14077      ESTABLISHED
tcp        0      0 192.168.1.34:44763      212.97.172.86:6881      ESTABLISHED

And some of this packets are being blocked by my firewal.. How can i tell ktorrent to use only one source port? Is there a way?

Thanks a lot!!

KTorrent opens these connections to the remote host, so you don't want to block that connections. Port used in KT settings is for incoming connections and that's the only port KT uses. All outgoing connections are established with remote hosts on variety of ports so you don't have to worry about that ;)
