ktorrent always starts maximised

Sat Nov 05, 2005 12:04 pm
Hi

I have ktorrent in my kde startup folder and so it starts when I log on. Which is good, but it always opens its main window. I would rather it just opened into the system tray. How do I configure it to do that?

Thanks

Steve

We don't have an option to start KT minimized, but you may try to leave KT running in system tray when logging out. Maybe that will do the trick.

Also, somebody else complained about KT always starting in system tray on KDE start - that was caused by leaving KT in the tray when exiting KDE. You may also try this and remove the entry you added in startup folder.

Do some testing...

Thanks for the suggestion, but that doesn't work. It still opens maximised.

Not a big deal though. If the developers are listening, perhaps they could add this feature to their to-do-eventually list?

Try final 1.1 release. You have SuSE 10.0 RPM in downloads section.

Or better, you may try SVN version...

Hi

Well I tried v1.1, but it still starts maximised.

It's not a big deal for me really. Certainly not big enough to faff about with SVN just now (but who knows as the evenings get longer and darker...)

In the meantime, I have learnt about the KDE "manual save session" option, which is very handy! So thanks for that!
