Hi!

I want to control Ktorrent by remote from another computer.

Is that possible?!?

If yes, how can I do that with shell comands!?

X Remote is disabled.

Using a trick from here, this is what I do:

Code: Select all
me@local:~> ssh remote
me@remote:~> export DISPLAY=:0.0
me@remote:~> dcop ktorrent KTorrent openTorrent /path/to/cool.torrent

This assumes that your display is on the first X port, which is the most likely scenario. If you're permitting multiple X sessions, you might need to use :1.0 instead, and so on.
