Ok, it should be fixed in trunk now.
If not, you might have to give me instructions on how to reproduce the problem. But I think it's the same problem I had (and just solved).

I think so, since I grabbed 516324 and it now stops and restarts with no error message

By the way, it seems to restart much faster than it did before ?

for the first time i got a torrent stalled at 99,90%

but the infowidget plugin reports that the file is completed at 99,98% (the torrent is only one file)

the status from the tracker is invalid response but i am still uploading to some guy even after i stop and restart the torrent.

i use svn 517484 (2006-03-11)

strange. it finally worked when i restarted ktorrent the last chunk was uploaded in a second and auto-magically the tracker was available (??)

EDIT:
and some other torrent stalled at 83% during a long time restarted downloading too after i restarted ktorrent ! it was up approx. one day.

may be the fact that my connexion is shut down and restarted some times play a role in the problem. (it changes my ip - generally it does not affect ktorrent which continue to download but may be somtimes it is affected )

EDIT2:
i was looking at this http://home.tele2.fr/solsTiCe/img/ppp0-day.png and was wondering if at midnight something special happened ?
the incoming dl almost completly stops
i got some loss of connectivity at 23:12 and at 23:32 (that you might see on the graph) but not at 00:00
and around 17:30 i restarted ktorrent.

those events are easily seen on the graph ...
i find strange the 00:00 stops

Since zebul666 mentions an URL within the tele2.fr realm, take note that I'm a subscriber to the tele2.se service...

I know it might be stupid, but just to clear that option:
- do we have someone subscribed to one of the tele2 subsidiaries who never encountered that stalling problem
- do we have someone who is not subscribed to one of the tele2 subsidiaries and who encountered that stalling problem

It's not just you. I get the same thing on most of my torrents where it will hang with just a few chuncks left. I have DSL here in the US of A.

I find that whenever I get a torrent stuck at ~99% (which happens on about 1 out of 2 torrents, and no I'm not in the tele2.fr domain), simply restarting KTorrent usually fixes it.

Nevertheless that's quite annoying, and I've never seen another BT client exhibit this problem.

As you mention 1 torrent stalling out of 2 : now that I have been running svn516324 for two full weeks, I had no torrent stalled in that period...

That seems to be a good sign.If you still encounter the problem, post here again.

True but with my system for some reason I have to wait a couple of minutes to wait for the connection to timeout since when I restart ktorrent it says port 6881 is still in use and then it uses port 6882 which is fine except I only have port 6881 forwarded.

The connection takes a while to go off for me too. I just forward ports 6881 to 6890 and don't worry much about it.

I have the same problem with every torrent I download. Restarting the client does not help.

Looking at the log, I receive the last chunk but it fails the hash check and bans the IP. It continues for several hours.

I am using the svn version but I had the same problem in v1.2. Is there a way to force a rehashing of the files? It might have been caused by a power failure a couple days ago. I've restarted but it doesn't help. I am using an ext3 fs that matters and Kubuntu Dapper (6.05).

Powerfailure can do that stuff, i know that myself. ;)

There's no manual recheck of data yet, but the good news is that's on the todo list.

What i would do is remove the torrent from KTorrent and import it with the import plugin. This way KTorrent also checks all chucks, you only have to enable the file import plugin though and write down the ratio before removing the torrent if you want to.

Ok i got another stalled on the last chunck with latest SVN.

Stop & start the torrent makes KTorrent assign peers and download, but then the process of the chunk stays stalled, after a while the peers stay assigned and the speed stalls at 0 KB/s.

chunksize 512
700 chunks
torrent made by utorrent 1.5
National.Geographic.Naked.Science-Angry.Skies.DVDRiP.XViD-GTS.avi (bitmetv)
Restarting KTorrent doesn't make a difference this time.

So it's the last chunk, do you get any hash verification errors in the log ?

Chunk xxx downloaded message? Nope.
Though, the swarm only has 100% completed peers so it probably only has good chunks.
