Can't Seed

Sat Jan 28, 2006 9:06 am
I've recently switched to Kubuntu 5.10 from WinXP and I would like to resume my seeding in mass habits. Problem is whenever I try to seed a torrent, KTorrent starts downloading even though I told it where the files are. And I have the same problem regardless of weather the files are on my Linux partition or on my external Fat32 Drive.

Any help on fixing this problem would be much appreciated.

You need to use the import plugin (in the settings dialog you can load it).

And now it won't let me import from my external harddrive. There goes all the free space on my internal drive.

What exactly happens ? Importing should work from any place in the filesystem.

When I try importing from my external harddrive Ktorrent says it can't import from a remote location. I'm assuming the problem comes from the fact that my external harddrive was factory formatted in Fat32.

If the filename do not contain any weird chars fat32 can't handle, thing might go wrong, but normally it should work. I will try it out on my fat partition at home.
