I try to run ktorrent1.2 on Kubuntu5.10 but compiling it or using the last kubuntu package doesn't provide plugins, then I don't have the "search" tab. Did I miss something?

Did you do 'make' and 'make install'? Did you remove any previous version you might have had?

I just compiled KT 1.2 successfully on both an openSUSE and a Gentoo system.

I never see an app working without doing a "make" and a "make install", so yes I do that
All versions were removed, but it seems that I have to remove all ktorrent entries under ~/.kde/... to have plugins working.
